I went into Wal-mart for Alpha Centauri and it's not there yet!! Two days after shipping, shouldn't a major retailer like Wal-mart have the game already? I do live in a rural area but two days should be enough to get it in town. And I'm way too cheap and too busy to get the game by mail. I got so frustrated with waiting, (and I hope you won't delete my topic because I'm saying this)I actually bought SimCity 3000. I'm Sorry!!! But I will probably end up buying SMAC too.
So tell Wal-mart to hurry up!!!

I work for walmart, and as far as I know, alpha centauri will not be carried in the smaller "home town" stores--I don't know about the super centers. If your nearest one is smaller, don't count on seeing it on the shelves. Sorry!
