Now that the game has shipped, and is available in stores (at least www.gamelord.com says Babbage's/Software Etc. will have it), where is the promised patch? I just was at EAs web site about 10 minutes ago and they only had the "Just Shipped" press release thing.

Why were the bugs that were found in the demo not fixed in the release version, anyway?

Why did bugs like free prototyping and infinite Unity Pods make it though testing, anyway? I would think that a good testing scheme would find this sort of thing, espically free prototypes.
Jeff Morris praises the FOUR different testing teams to the heavens on Firaxis' web page, but simple bugs like these still made it through QA? And then when bug fixes come through, they have to QA again to make sure no more stuff is broken? How does this help? You've already missed the things that were originally broken, how are you going to test the fixes without another several thousand hours of testing?

I'm almost tempted not to buy this until a remastered original comes out (but only almost :|). Unfortunately, I already reserved a copy, because people who spend money early and ensure sales to Babbage's get the first copies. But that's another topic.

I think I've rambled enough. It summary: I AM SICK OF BUGS!

It's in test at OSI and EA. Anticipate Friday sometime. A large number of bugs will fixed and customer feedback were implimented in the final retail version based on the demo.

Scutch: I prefer having many bugs that are going to be fixed than a small number of bugs that are never going to be fixed. I like their approach, it makes sense.
