I was playing through a serial connection with a friend when he showed me that his unit with a drop pod wouldn't paradrop
it kept saying that the 8 square limit was imposed and the paradrop couldn't be done
1. his unit was in a friendly city
2. it hasn't moved before in that turn
3. it wouldn't paradrop anywhere!
why is that???

It's a bug. It's fixed for the first patch, hopefully available by the end of this week (it's in EA's hands now).
