Is there a possibility to play the game in
640x480 resolution (through a patch or
something) as my crappy old monitor won't
display higher than that.
You can imagine my disappointment when I bought the game, but couldn't get it even started. I've got the European version.

Hi Harri,
I think you only can have 800x600 and up (every version).
Some graphics cards have drivers or utilities that let you use a 'virtual desktop': your desktop is, say, 2000x2000 pixels, but your monitor only sees part of it, like a looking glass on 640x480.
But I doubt that it would be playable, even if it technically works.
I think its time for an upgrade...
