Something really weird happened in my last game. I was the spartans (on specialist level), as usual, and I was clearly dominating the game. And I had just gone a rampage conquering The Hive, I had eliminated them down to two cities, so I thought. Instead of sending my troops to the other end of the continent to take out two cities that tiny, I decided to wipe them off the map. So I had the council repeal the UN charter and I Nuked both of them. Now here's where it get's WEIRD. I summon a council meeting and try to elect myself sumpreme leader. And I had enough votes, so I did. But I got this message stating that the HIVE has decided to go against the council and ignore the vote. which is weird cause I had thought I destroyed them. But I found they still had a city tucked away on the other side of the Planet. So I sent a couple of units to go take care of it. In the meantime, the supreme leader vote must have given my pacts w/ all the other leaders, because I suddebly had pacts w/ everyone, but no one would talk to me. And even after I destroyed the HIVE I couldn't do another supreme leader vote, the option was gone. Then, I tried to corner the energy market, and the computer said I would do it in 20 years. so i plunk about for 20 years, and when it finally rolls around nothing happens. I hit the "," button and a message falshes that I will corner the market in MY1000. Which I think is really weird, since the game starts at MY2100. So then since I couldn't elect myself supreme leader and cornering the energy market was gone, I decided to win by transcendance. So I get all the techs and build voice of planet. And then I build ascent to transcendeance or whatever it's called. Just as the turn rolls around I get a message that I have cornered the energy market and conquered the world! Despite the fact that I spent all but 2600 credits of my almost 50000 credit reserve on the ascent to trasncendance project!!!! Is that f*cking weird or what! ~do you know what's going on? |
