I posted a while back on the same subject but nobody from "FIRAXIS" ever answered me. I bought this game and its not running on my machine. The details of my machine is on the previous posting. If you cant or WILL NOT HELP ME I would appreciate it if you would reply to my posting to notify me. Hey Bud it would be the ethical thing to do. If you have ethics that is.

What's the problem? Do you see anything when you run the game? If so, what? Also, what explicitly have you tried? Fill me in.jkm firaxis games |

Forgive me for mixing in, but I'm afraid NT doesn't run FAT32, so I assume you're using NTFS. I read something about SMAC not being supported under NT. I only ran the demo on NT, also without sound.First tip: Upgrade to service pack 4. Second tip: 48 MB RAM isn't that much on NT. Try at least 64, possibly more (I use 80, which is acceptable). Third tip: Check your swap file. Should be at least set between 100 (Initial) and 200 (Max size). You could also try to install a dual boot Win98/WinNT (that's what I do, because usually game performance under NT is sub-optimal - understatement). You have to have FAT16 on your disks then. Good luck! |

Also, check to see if there is an update to the ATI drivers. That's where the intro movie kicks in, so it's probably a video issue. Try renaming sound.dll to sound.dl_ to make sure the sound isn't the issue.jkm firaxis games |
