posted 03-08-99 05:36 AM ET I really need to know how the game determine a winning unit in a battle ... how the attack and the defence attributes affect the results of a fight between 2 units ? I really have no idea for a unit with 1-4-1 in a base can kill an attacking unit with 5-4-1. Please explain the actual system of what will determine the strength in the battle systems (in details in possible). This will certainly make my game more enjoyable. Thanks to those who can offer me some help.

The deal is 1 - the attacker attack value (5) is compareed with the defender's defense value (4) so they are fairly similar (5:4) and 2 - units have a morale value which gives them a modifier to combat. Units start Green (-12.5%) and go up to Elite (+50%) in +12.5% intervals

The "quality" of the unit is also VERY important. A Veteran will often completely outmatch a green unit. You can turn on a toggle in game options that shows odds of Their winning the battle, this helps at first as it lets you know how good they are:- first number higher than second means you should win. A random factor is also thrown in. Try and keep your experienced Vet units alive in your bases.
