Why does the AI cheat a lot in Thinker mode??? When I looked at their production screens, they needed less than half the minerals required to complete a missile, and their industry was not 50% the mineral cost.Anyone else notice this?

In the top two modes, the AI uses cheats to gain some ground on you. Librarian (3rd from the top) is the one where the AI is on a level playing field with you. The top two levels are for those that REALLY want a challenge... |

Hmmm... I wonder if the difficulty buttons are screwed up because I clicked on an easier level... I am the UoP and the Gaians are ahead of me in research! Then again, they were allied with the Hive. |

Victor, I had the same thing happen on a citizen game I was playing to get a feel of the game. I was way ahead in research over everyone and all of a sudden I get a message that Morgan was researching Ascent to Trandency or whatever it's called. Needless to say I started production right away and hurried it to where I finished it first. |

The I have only played throught 2 complete games so far, one on talent the other on librarian. The talent seemed a little easy but going up one notice to librarian but the cool jets on everything. I eventually gained the tech edge but it was a long time in coming. The only instances I have found where the AI is cheating is during some battles. I will have a unit with a Strength 32 and power 20 and they will attack with a unit 17/20. Give our units both have the same power, but mine has the greater strength, I would expect mine to win the battle. However, after losing many battles with this type of S/P ratios, I just about quite. Unless there is something I am missing, I should always win battles with the greater strength. |
