Borrowing a laptop on vacation, I had a nice game against the computer going along. When I got home, I copied the SAV file to my home computer and tried to continue playing, only to see the following: -- Password Protected Multiplayer SaveYou cannot load a password-protected multiplayer game as a single player game. -- What is this? A bug, or some kind of copy protection?

Great, people with topic names like "Help Jeff!!!" and "What's this?" get a quick answer, and my question gets ingnored. I'm just a little anxious after spending many hours playing a particularly good game, then getting locked out. Maybe I should post a new topic with a stupid title so it'll get read. |

How about:I'm, from America, I have a problem? |

Can't offer a fix but I can tell you that I routinely do the same thing and never have a problem so its probably not something with the software itself.Do both machines have exactly the same version loaded? Have you tried taking any other save files that direction, did they work? Have you tried taking a file from the destop machine to the laptop? I'd try all of those just to get a handle on when it fails. That give Jeff and/or Brian a clue. |

Sounds like a version conflict, though the save format hasn't changed at all. Just to be sure, double check that both copies of the game are the same version, re-save it, and load it from the main menu. Like Dick, I do this constantly.jkm firaxis games |
