Sometimes when I construct a condenser, it either doesn't affect the squares at all, or else it only affects some of them (moist squares stay moist, etc). I've also noticed that sometimes the message lists the wrong city as the one whose weather patterns were changed. I haven't seen this topic in any of the posts I've scanned.

In addition to this ... are condensors supposed to affect a 2-square radius (as the manual states) or just the adjacent squares (as the game actually works for me)?

According to datalinks, Condensers only affect the squares adjacent to it (1-square radius).

The base-name problem (according to another thread somewhere): you'll always get the name of the base that changed the wheather patterns first, regardless where it is (even to which faction it belongs, apparently). I believe Firaxis will fix it in V3.

However, the facilities seem to be working OK, only the message is incorrect.

Condensing on a Rocky square will not make it suitable to grow anything. You might have to do a LEVEL first.
