Now, I don't consider myself a trouble-maker, but really!! How stupid does Mr. Pine think we are?? How many posts have we read that state " SMAC is the only program that consistently causes my system to crash" ? So far this year, I have purchased a half-dozen games,(most requiring DirectX 6), not one of them causing anyhting like the crashes that Terran.exe causes.

Please Mr. Pine, retract the aforementioned statement and return the credibility of these forums.

Again, I didn't want to talk about any one person's system. I was talking about actual bug counts (ours as compared to other games). I don't see that this is really refutable without evidence to the contrary, which you simply don't have access to.
I'm sorry if my statements offended anyone. They were certainly not intended to be offensive. Naturally, we strive to make as stable a game as we can, which is why I am reading these forums. Several times people have written in with bugs (or even just suggestions) and I have fixed them as soon as I could. I hope that our diligence is not misunderstood.

Are you honestly telling me that if I went out and bought 10 new games, I would find that 9 of them had more bugs than SMAC does?
... really?...
As to your statment "I don't see that this is really refutable without evidence to the contrary, which you simply don't have access to." , this seams to me pretty arrogant on your part seeing that you have no idea who I am or what types of information I might have available to me.
If I am mistaken, please enlighten me. I will always bow to the facts, - however - you cannot issue a statement like "we have had about *one tenth* the amount of bugs as most shipped games have", without having some type of factual basis for it.
I still think that Firaxis has done a wonderful job in these forums, and that SMAC is a pretty darn good game.
