I've noticed this a few times, and have seen a couple other complaints in other threads.

It seems like some messages that flash on the screen are not saved in the Messages window. So if you don't happen to be able to read them as they quickly flash by, they are lost.

I seem to have vague, subconscious recollections of the messages involving some sort of communication from Lal (I was playing Morgan) about breaking a pact with someone else or something like that. But of course I'm not sure.
