For me this game is unplayable right now.
I get those echoing voices but don't really care that much about them. But The game will crash, throw up the wonderful windows blue screen and freeze when some sound at some time from some action goes off. I have to restart the cPU from that point. Rarely though I am allowed to get into windows and shutdown properly. Yeah I can play without sound but it is boring and the game is not worth playing.

under the sound tab it says:

The sound test failing is a big deal. I'd either disable the sound.dll by renaming it, or look into a new soundcard. Diamond may have new DX drivers though.
