The patch says that they have now given the Hive a new ability which renders them immune to any kind of efficiency, regardless of the circumstances. When I start a game and look at the factions, or look them up in the datalinks, their new ability is not listed as one of their pros/cons. I have just started a game with them, but I was wondering if this ability really does work, and if it does, why is it not documented? Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

I don't recall what documentation there is or isn't for this feature, but it's real. I have played Hive in version 2, and the efficiency is fixed at zero, no matter what social engineering you choose.Btw, does this mean that the Hive can expand without penalty to the outlying bases? And that losing their capital has no efficiency consequences? |

While I have not experimented yet, I suspect that the Hive is just stuck at a permanent efficiency rating of zero. None of the documentation implies that any of the other effects of the social factor are affected. For example, if a faction was set to be immune to Morale, would that make all their troops have no morale at all?
