The game works great except for one thing the sound when I go into the game the movie at the beginning works fine and the sound works fine on that but after that movie I have no other sounds what so ever in the game. So I checked the preferences to see if they were turned on which all of the sound and movie stuff is turned on but it still won't work. Can anyone help or is anyone else having this problem and knows what to do??? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using version 2.0? If so, try setting EAX and DS3D to 0 in the alpha centauri.ini file. If not, what's the soundcard. Run DXDiag.exe to see what DirectX thinks of it.

Thank You very much Jeffrey Morris FIRAXIS what you told me to do in the alpha centauri.ini file worked and got my sound back so I thank you again for your help.
