I could't get SMAC V2 running under Win98. It always locks up the computer after I hit a key to skip the intro movie or wait until it is finished.
With NT4 I have only the sound problem mentioned in the readme, the rest is ok.
I use the latest drivers on a completly new installed Win98 (normaly I only use NT) with the following System:

AMD K6-200
256MB RAM
Matrox Millenium II 8MB
SB 64 AWE PnP
DirectX 6.1 with latest drivers from Creative Labs and Matrox.
