This has been quitetly asked among some of the beta testers, so I thougt it was time someone just came out and asked it. :-) Does Firaxis have any plans on sending us boxed copies of the final game? I personally have no problem paying $50+ of my own hard-earned money for SMAC, but I would get a little ticked if I did so, then got a free copy in the mail. (Of course if that free copy had Brian and/or Sid's autograph on it, I wouldn't get too ticked, hint hint.) Also, will the 1.0x versions we recieved be compatable with the patches? I'd probably still want to get a boxed version (I collect the boxes), but I might not be in such a hurry if my final "beta" copy is just as good. |

I think Jeff is sending around an e-mail about the (good) news. Better to use e-mail for that sort of question, and save this forum for items of general and game-related interest. Brian |
